There are four committees working on different aspects of the campaign. Each committee meets at least once a month, and members from all meet together on the second Tuesday of every month at 6PM in Room 108 of the Milwaukee Enterprise Center (2821 N Vel R. Phillips Ave). Please choose a committee working on the aspects of the campaign that most interest you, and check the #CLOSEmsdf calendar for the next time they meet. If you have any questions, contact us.
Strategy and Actions Committee – we plan direct actions targeting pressure points that have the power to shut down MSDF.
Research Committee – we research issues related to MSDF and the requests of the campaign to close the facility.
Outreach Committee – we build the Coalition both by canvassing targeted neighborhoods and networking with organizations and community groups impacted by Wisconsin’s parole and probation practices.
Communications Committee – we maintain this site, a Facebook page, a Twitter account, email lists and other means to get out the campaign’s messages.
